The Effect of Tillage System and Concentrations of Growth Regulator on Growth and Yield of Soybean

Abstract


This study aimed to determine the accurate of tillage systems and concentration of growth regulator and the presence or absence of interaction between these two factors on the growth and yield of soybean. This research was conducted from July to October 2017 in Teuladan Village, District of Seulawah Valley. The experiment design was used Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. Factors studied were: (1) tillage system (O) as the main plot consists of 3 levels, namely: O1 = no-tillage (control), O2 = minimum tillage  and O3 = perfect tillage); (2) concentration of growth regulator (B) as the main plot consists of 3 levels, namely: B1 = 1 cc / liter of water, B2 = 2 cc / liter of water and B3 = 3 cc / liter of water. The results showed that tillage systems and concentration of growth regulators had a very significant effect on plant height, number of productive branches, fresh biomass weight, and weight of 100 dry seeds. However, the treatment of tillage systems and concentration of growth regulators did not significantly effect the dry seed weight per plant. Treatment of perfect tillage system and concentration of growth regulator 2 cc of  per liter water showed optimum growth and yield of soybean. The interaction of  tillage system and concentration of regulator significantly influenced on plant height 30 and 65 HST, 100 dry seed weight and no significant effect on 45 HST, plant height, number of productive branches, fresh biomass weight and dry seed weight of the plant.
